Next Friday 24th March Arts Centre Melbourne and City of Melbourne are presenting the Asia Pop Fest!
The event invites local and international students to welcome the start of the university year in Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and best of all? FREE ENTRY FOR STUDENTS WITH A VALID STUDENT ID!
The evening is set to offer some amazing acts, including the one and only Ailee! Also set to perform are the 2016 runner-up of Sing! China, Nathan Hartono and virtual Japanese pop star IA, an avatar from the voice synthesizer software Vocaloid. Charlie Lim, one of Singapore’s finest musical exports, has also just been announced as part of the event line-up, bringing his hybrid of acoustic melancholia, neo-soul and electronic-pop to the Melbourne stage.

The Asia Pop Fest will celebrate all aspects of Asian pop culture and will include food trucks, a whole range of activities like K-Pop dance competitions, an appearance from North Melbourne Football Club’s Majak Daw, and live broadcasts with Andy Trieu and Natalie Tran from SBS PopAsia- with competitions and prizes and all kinds of good stuff.
