Goma has been studying the didgeridoo since 1994, working in workshops in Darwin and studying the instrument under master Djalu Gurruwiwi. His passion for the didgeridoo was instrumental in his recovery from a traumatic car accident in 2009, assisting in his long process of rehabilitation and memory recovery. In 2013 director Tetsuaki Matsue released an award-winning documentary on Goma’s life, entitled Flashback Memories.

Goma has released 8 albums, 7 before his accident and 1 after. In 2012 he started the Jungle Didgeridoo Circle, a didgeridoo school in Tokyo where he teaches didgeridoo to students of all ages.
