Indonesia’s most prominent dance music festival, Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP), releases today the Official Aftermovie of its 2017 edition, that took place on 15 &16 December, on the ISMAYA TV YouTube channel.
Running for 8-minute long, the official Aftermovie of Djakarta Warehouse Project 2017 perfectly captures the festival’s spirit of unity that transcends cultural boundaries and binds everyone together regardless of anything else, but the love of dance music.
Highlights from the Aftermovie include the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika moment that features an Indonesian traditional dance number on the Garuda Land main stage, the Asia debut of Barcelona’s Elrow touring concept and stage with its out-of-this-world spectacle of colors, and the majestic Garuda Land main stage that was transformed into a gigantic futuristic robot, amongst many.
“It’s been an absolute honour to have been producing this Official Aftermovie,” said Nick Duinmaijer of Northwest, the director of the Aftermovie who also produced the official aftermovie of one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world, TomorrowLand Belgium 2017.
“Music has this powerful ability to unite everyone regardless of where they come from.”
The spirit of unity takes center stage throughout the Aftermovie as festival goers from across the globe were seen raising flags of their nation in an ocean of people, all in one harmony representing the most beautiful thing about mankind – diversity.
“Music has this powerful ability to unite everyone regardless of where they come from. Djakarta Warehouse Project upholds the value of unity and diversity through dance music and that wonderful spirit continues as we welcome this year’s edition,” said Sarah Deshita as Assistant Brand Manager of Ismaya Live.
This year’s edition of DWP was announced towards the end of the Aftermovie. A text saying, “Get ready for the unexpected experience” was shown on the screen followed with a logo that says DWPX – “X” symbolizing the number “10” in roman numerals tocelebrate the 10th edition of the festival this year.
“We have one major surprise we’re about to announce soon. This is possibly the biggest surprise in the history of Djakarta Warehouse Project. It’s massive,” Sarah confirmed.
