Fire Emblem & Pokemon GO Character Designer Yusuke Kozaki to attend SMASH! 2017

Yuzuke Kozaki is a Japanese illustrator and character designer who has worked on various mediums such as gaming, manga, and anime. He is best known for doing character designs for Fire Emblem and Pokemon GO. And he’s heading to Sydney!

ABOUT SMASH!

For those who haven’t heard of SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show yet, it is a Japanese pop-culture convention devoted to artists, creators and fans alike. With high calibre guests, exciting activities such as cosplay, panels, games, and an extensive Vendors and Artist Market, SMASH! platforms for animation fans to enjoy unique experiences, celebrate and extend their fandom in a social environment.

This year the anime convention is to be held at Rosehill Gardens on August 19th and 20th. Featuring a lineup of cosplay, gaming, maid cafe and anime events, SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show is an event not to be missed.

In conjunction with The Japan Foundation, Sydney, SMASH! is proud to announce the next gaming guest for SMASH! 2017: illustrator – character designer Yuzuke Kozaki .

THE SPECIAL GUEST: YUZUKE KOZAKI

Yuzuke Kozaki is a Japanese illustrator and character designer who has worked on various mediums such as gaming, manga, and anime.

Kozaki began his career as a character designer by working on the anime series Speed Grapher. He then subsequently worked on other animated series such as BBK/BRNK and Under the Dog. In addition to this, he also made contributions to popular gaming titles such as No More Heroes, Fire Emblem, and the recent phenomenal success, Pokémon GO.

This collaboration between The Japan Foundation, Sydney and SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show marks the fourth year for both organisations. With this the Japan Foundation hopes to promote cultural and intellectual exchange between Japan and other nations through a diverse range of programs and events.

President Andrew Qiu says SMASH! takes “great pride in bringing Japanese industry guests to Australia. Year after year, SMASH! continues to step up its game to showcase what the Japanese gaming industry has to offer. Kozaki is one of the leading names in the Japanese pop-culture industry.
