Inaugural KCON Mexico draws over 33,000 fans plus another 200,000 live stream viewers!

KCON 2017 Mexico celebrated their inaugural festival on the 17-18 March, drawing 33,000 fans over the two days in celebration of all things Hallyu!

The first KCON in Latin America, the event featured concert performances by Astro, BTS, Eric Nam, EXID, Infinite H, Monsta X, NCT 127 and Red Velvet. Also amongst the entertainment were influencer-led dance workshops and dozens of vendors selling delicious Korean snacks and the latest and greatest in Korean products, including CJ IMC, Tony Moly and K-Pop merchandise. Influencers in attendance included vlogger Latina Saram, Jun Sung Ahn, JRE and KenroVlogs.

HK Shin, President of CJ E&M Music Division said “Every time we expand into a new country, the passion of the fans is beyond what we could have imagined. The reaction in Mexico was amazing and we expect a similar enthusiasm in Australia when we expand into Oceania later this year”

KCON 2017 Mexico was also live streamed through KCON.TV, reaching more than 200,000 viewers from both North and South America.
