Korean-American rapper Flowsik to release two new singles

The Queens, NY, born and raised rapper hit the scene as the leader of the now defunct Asian hip-hop group Aziatix. The group saw success from their first EP and were signed to Cash Records in 2013 alongside names like Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Though things didn’t work out the way Aziatix had planned, ultimately leading to their disbandment in 2015, Flowsik refused to give up and found another route, moving to Korea for a fresh start. In a previous interview he has said ‘I know my roots are from Korea, you know, my parents are Korean…seeing if I could make my mark in my parents country.’

That he has done.

Following the move, he joined popular hip hop comp ‘Show Me The Money’, impressive the viewers and super producer, Timbaland. He’s gone on to become a household name in Korea via multiple collaborations, including his most recent releases with Jessi, ‘Wet’ and ‘All I Need’.

We don’t have to wait too long for his first single ‘Bbung’, which is set to drop on October 26. The single highlights Flosik’s ambition to ‘expose fakes in all categories’, and we can expect his signature deep and husky voice.

His second single is due for release in November.

In the mean time, check out his collaboration with Jessi
