Following on from the success of last year’s Taiwan Beats showcase at Glastonbury festival, this year’s showcase is set to sparkle, with the likes of Peggy Hsu, Miss Ko and Suming Rupi said to be attending.

The performance will be held on the 21st of June 2016 at 7pm.

Performing in close succession to the upcoming Golden Melody Awards, Hsu who is nominated for four categories including “Best Mandarin Album”, “Best Mandarin Female Artist” and “Best Producer” will be placed in a similar situation to Glastonbury performer Waa Wei who rushed back just in time for the ceremony!

Hsu’s album was highly praised by Malcolm Haynes, the organiser of Glastonbury Festival, awarding her an invitation to perform at Glastonbury this year.

Also performing is the ‘Teresa Teng of Rap Music” Miss Ko and Aboriginal artist Suming who was nominated for “Best Composition” at this year’s awards for his song “Don’t Give Up (Aka Pisawad).

Suming professes that he will not be able to make the awards this year due to his performance time, and thus will be wearing his traditional Aboriginal dress onstage at the Glastonbury festival to sing his ‘Best Composition’ nominee.
