Take a look inside Thailand’s biggest Indie Music Festival Cat Expo 5

It’s hard to tell someone you’re going to Bangkok for an event called ‘Cat Expo 5‘ without them thinking you’re really into cats. The two-day festival however, features zero cats, and over 100 bands. The 2018 event was held across the weekend of November 24 and 25 at Wonder World Fun Park, a now defunct theme park.

Amongst the killer line up were rock bands such as Scrubb, The Richman Toy and Yellow Fang, pop acts Violette Wautier, Ink Waruntorn and Jan Chan, and Thai idol groups BNK48 and Sweat16.

Cat Expo is the largest annual event hosted by Cat Radio, who’s other annual events include Cat T-shirt and Cat Foodival. With five stages lined around the theme park, the center of the space was dedicated to three rows of market-style merchandise stalls, giving bands and fans the opportunity to connect directly.
