Set for an exclusive theatrical release in July this year, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Crazy Rich Asians breakout Henry Golding as the titular ninja commando made famous from his appearance in the G.I. Joe line of action figures, comic books and animated series.
Known for his concealed appearance behind all-black attire and lack of vocals, the character is given the origin overhaul in Robert Schwentke’s upcoming actioner, allowing Golding to both be seen and heard as we uncover the warrior’s past.
Samara Weaving, Andrew Koji, and Iko Uwais co-star in the anticipated spin-off that fans are no doubt hoping will rejuvenate the Joe brand.
Snaked Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is scheduled for an Australian release on July 22nd, 2021.
