A question that’s been on his fan’s minds in recent years, Hook Entertainment confirmed that Lee Seung Gi will be enlisting in the South Korean military for active duty on 1st February. As reported by Mnet, Lee Seung Gi said to his fans through his agency, “I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the undeserving love I received until now, and I will return a real man.” The singer also followed up the news with a single titled “I’m Going to the Military”. Full of emotion and endearment, it was the best way for him to say goodbye those he couldn’t meet in person.
The song was produced by Kim Do Hoon, who was behind Lee Seung Gi’s hits “Will You Marry Me?”, “Unfinished Story” and “And Goodbye”. The song portrays a man confessing his love before going into the army and asking his girl to wait for him. Of the song, Lee Seung Gi said “Although the song is my story, I hope it′s a song that all reserve soldiers can relate to with their family and friends”.

Lee Seung Gi, who debuted in 2004 with “Because You’re My Woman” has won over the ladies of all ages, through his beautiful ballads, sweet personality and his work in dramas ad variety shows such as “My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox”, “Gu Family Book” and “1 Night, 2 Days”.
