BTS has partnered with Unicef’s End Violence program launching a program named ‘Love Myself’, using their music to make the world a better place. So far, they have raised 1.4 million USD in their efforts to end violence against children and teens around the world.
BTS leader and main rapper RM recently gave a moving speech at the UN’s general assembly. The speech begins by talking about the joint campaign with Unicef which began in 2017, before getting into the heart of the campaign: Love Myself. RM talks about his own journey, from being a young boy gazing into the stars to being the leader of one of the most successful bands in the world, stressing the importance of the Love Myself message. The speech was so powerful that it is now being used in study materials and exams in numerous schools around the world.
BTS will kick off their 4th and final leg of the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself on November 13 with dates in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand.
