On the 20th of December, STARMARIE, a dark fantasy girl group held their first performance in Hong Kong at Hong Kong’s MUSIC STAGE.
Currently in the process of touring worldwide, the group have performed shows in Taiwan, Philippines, China and Indonesia with Hong Kong being the fifth Asian stop for them in 2015.
The concert also featured the likes of Japanese idols OS*U, READY TO KISS and Sakura Mika.
Leading the audience into their dark and mysterious fantasy world, the group opened with tracks such as “Good Morning!! Hamamura SHOW”, “Let’s find work at a haunted house” and not to mention their classic “Who killed the circus?”.
The performance then took a turn for the lighter, where STARMARIE performed more upbeat tracks such as “Grandpa Grandpa”.
Band member Shino Takamorie expressed that she was nervous about their first show in Hong Kong, but was glad that it ended on a high note during the group’s encore:
“We were a bit nervous about our first Hong Kong show, but you all have been such a great audience, and this show has been a blast! We definitely want to come back to Hong Kong, and perform live shows here more regularly…no, we WILL perform again!”
