As you might have noticed, 2017 is a mere week’s away (good grief). Not only does this mean it’s time to dust off the reindeer antlers and bulk buy the mince pies, it also means that it is Christmas comeback time for K-pop artists. Let’s take a look at some of the big comebacks planned over the next couple of months:

EXO- December
This boatload of beautiful boys are set to release another winter album, after the success of ‘Sing For You’ and ‘Miracles in December’. Whilst SM Entertainment are keeping fans in suspense over the release date, they have revealed that an MV has been filmed. We can only hope that novelty Christmas jumpers will be involved.

Jessica – December 10th
The former Girls Generation star will release her second solo album ‘Wonderland’ on December 10th. Teaser images from Coridel Entertainment show a blonde haired Jessica looking very much at home whilst walking elegantly in the gardens of a manor house. I like to imagine that this is where she and her fellow idol sister Krystal relax when they are not busy traveling the world as K-pop superstars. It must be a very musical Christmas in the Jung household.

Big Bang- December 12th
This year Big Bang celebrated their ten year anniversary as a group. To celebrate the band released 4 mini-albums, ‘M’, ‘A’, ‘D’ and ‘E’. Since then, VIPs have been diligently waiting for the full length ‘MADE’ album to be released. Teaser images for the new single show that it is called ‘FXXK It’, and depict the band with yet another hair transformation. Personally, I’m still hoping that G-Dragon’s ‘Fantastic Baby’ orange side fringe also makes a comeback.

APink- December 15th
This will be the first special album for the ultra- cute girl group. Little is known about the concept behind the special album, besides the title ‘Dear’. The group have posted 1 cryptic teaser image to their official twitter of the member’s legs and socks, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s a sock puppet theme.

Akdong Musician- January 3rd
This brother- sister duo won the second series of K-Pop Star, in 2012. In 2014 they released their debut album ‘Play’, under YG Entertainment. (Incidentally, YG really seem to be going for an English Verb theme with their album titles lately- ‘Made’ and ‘Play’. Next thing you know WINNER will be releasing an album called ‘Sculpt’). The pair released a mini-album in May, and are due to make a full comeback on January 3rd. They released this teaser image of the siblings sporting a much more mature look, and reminding us all of how old we’re getting. Did I mention it’s almost 2017?

Christmas and all of these comebacks to look forward to. Could December get any better?
