In the blink of an eye it seems that 20 years has passed for Cantopop Queen Kelly Chen, who is celebrating her milestone with a flurry of activities.

Bringing in the new year, Kelly has already released her milestone new album And Then and kicked off her concert tour “Kelly Chen Let’s Celebrate!”.

To recognise her achievements during her time in the entertainment industry, HMV has opened a Kelly Chen Gallery for her in Hong Kong to document the albums that she has released in the past twenty years.

In opening the gallery, Kelly shared some of her best memories in creating each of her albums and was touched by the effort that went into the gallery.

She was further surprised by the VCR appearance of Aaron Kwok and Jacky Cheung, two Kings of the Cantopop industry. Kwok expressed that upon first meeting her, he felt that she very much resembled Lin Qing Xia, and was full of praise for her focus towards everything she did.

Jacky Cheung said that his first impression of Chen was that she was pure and carefree, and hoped that she would be able to keep this pureness and continue to live happily.

Chen’s latest album “And Then” is said to be full of songs that Kelly herself really likes, and is of a very high quality in terms of production.
