Just after the king of Mandopop Jay Chou ended his last world tour concert at the end of last year, the creative maestro has announced a new tour named “The Invincible”.

For his seventh world tour Chou has been inspired by the advances in technology. Combining this with his aim of surpassing each live concert experience with one even better than the last, so came about the theme ‘The Invincible”.

Chou was greatly inspired by the advances in space travel, and decided to base the theme of the concert around that of a person floating around in space, a place where the possibilities are countless and unimaginable.

As a veteran in the industry with over 15 years of experience, Jay has taken the world by storm with his unintelligible singing style, and infectious melodies.

Not someone to give up without a fight, perfectionist Chou is certainly not letting age get the better of him as he strives to make this concert tour the best one he’s ever hosted.

Jay’s “The Invincible” concert will debut in Shanghai on the 1st of July 2016, and three shows will be held in Shanghai and two in Beijing. Within 15 minutes of the opening of ticket sales, all tickets were gone, reflecting upon the hordes of fans that the singing superstar has gained over the years.

Luckily for those of us down under, details haven’t been firmed up yet, so we can work on our ticket-snatching skills in anticipation of the King’s trip down under (hopefully there will be one!)
