Japanese rock band RADWIMPS’ drummer, Yamaguchi Satoshi, has been forced due to go on an indefinite hiatus from the group’s activities due to health issues.
Yamaguchi has had a neurological condition called focal dystonia since 2009 but his condition has suddenly worsened this year despite continued rehabilitation. He will be taking a break from the band’s activities for an indefinite period of time in order to recover.
RADWIMPS will be celebrating their 10th anniversary on November 23 and have already announced a 10th anniversary tour of Japan. A support drummer will be taking Yamaguchi’s place for the performances.
