Songbird Rose Liu is set to release her debut album Judge Me Not in October.
The artist who made her debut seven years ago first came into the spotlight by placing runner up on Taiwanese reality show Super Star Avenue before clinching one of the top spots on Na Ying’s team in the Chinese reality singing competition Voice of China.
Going through many periods of uncertainty on this journey, Liu was at one point battling depression and failed attempts to lose weight, and also left her record company and managed her own career for several years.
She found stability after re-signing to Matilda Tao’s artist management company and now is set to release her first album of original songs.
In the photoshoot for her new album, Liu appears wearing nothing but a coat of gold glitter paint, which is symbolic of her team’s hope for prosperity for this album.
Liu has been cheered on by many of her close celebrity friends who have shared their excitement about her new upcoming album, such as Erika Liu, Esther Veronin, Janice Yan and Hero Tai.
The first single “From the moment I wake until I fall asleep” was written for her by acclaimed singer-songwriter Eve Ai, and is available for listening on KKBOX now.
