Dua Lipa to headline Sydney’s Mardi Gras Party 2020

You know it’s time to welcome in a new year when Sydney starts to look towards the always epic Mardi Gras Parade. The iconic event, falling on the elusive date of 29th February, will once again be followed by the huge Mardi Gras Party. And now we know who’s headlining.

Such a large-scale event needs a powerhouse pop performer, and for 2020 that will be none other than the electrifying Dua Lipa, who has in the past few years ascended to pop royalty with a string of high octane anthems including “New Rules”, “One Kiss”, and “IDGAF”.

The announcement follows her recent release of “Don’t Start Now”, Dua Lipa’s latest single in which the artist continues the quality that has seen her sell over 40 million singles globally.

Of course, Dua won’t be the only person driving the pulsating festivities, with a bunch of performers and DJs – both Australian and international – coming on board to keep the night (and morning – and probably the morning after that) going with pulsing techno, house and eurphoric LGBTQI anthems.

Fourth release tickets to the Mardi Gras Party and now on sale from mardigras.org.au.

Where: The Hordern Pavilion and surrounding areas, Moore Park
When: Saturday 29th February 2020, 10am-8pm
