Mike Tyson is EA Sports UFC 2‘s mystery fighter

Despite the fact that the last time Mike Tyson fought professionally was over ten years ago, he will nevertheless make his mixed martial arts bow as an unlockable fighter in EA Sports UFC 2 this year.

The last time Tyson appeared in a video game roster was in Fight Night Champion back in 2011, a game I forgot even existed until right this second. Interestingly, that game was created by the same team behind UFC 2.

Tyson will appear as he was during two separate eras: The Heavyweight Champion years from late 1986 to early 1990 and “Legacy Mike Tyson” from 2003, right before his last professional win, complete with freshly inked facial tattoo.

To get Tyson you can either fight your way through the game’s career mode, reach the Hall of Fame and unlock him that way or, if you’re the sort of person who hates putting in any effort whatsoever, you can pre-order UFC 2 and get him on day one along with Bas Rutten and Kazushi Sakuraba.

EA Sports UFC 2 launches March 17 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
