The Internet adds second Melbourne and Sydney show to July tour

After playing some of the world’s premier music festivals the LA-based collective The Internet will be returning to Australia this July. After their first show in Melbourne sold out almost immediately, The Internet have now added a second and final show in Melbourne and Sydney.

Fronted by the seductive Syd tha Kyd, the 6-piece collective will begin their tour at Splendour in the Grass, then head to Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th,  followed by Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th of July.

The Internet’s third album, Ego Death, released in July last year features guest appearances from the likes of Janelle Monae, Vic Mensa and Tyler, the Creator, earning the neo-soul outfit a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album.  With chugging drums and slinking bass lines, The Internet produces a fusion of hip hop, jazz, funk and soul.
